There's a renewed Substance Designer Challenge going on over at polycount, so I've taken the opportunity to dive back into doing some material authoring on the regular! This challenge was marble; I've never made anything like marble before, so this was indeed a challenge! I learned a lot, which is always a goal, and I'm pretty happy with my result!
All procedural in Substance Designer, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2.
At some point I'd like to iterate on marble again - try to work closer to a reference, maybe, and incorporate more kinds of marble into a set of tiles - but as a first whack I'm happy with how this turned out. Stay tuned for more updates of substance! :)
